Written for someone in distress over a loved one`s illness
When you sit with your sorrow; with your grief Do not let them become a torrent wherein you can easily drown But rest, quietly, in the warmth and Love of Christ who holds you
He holds you - his child
Each child of His is special to Him
When we come to Him in our grief He opens His arms to receive us No matter how unworthy we feel He is there, ready to welcome us his special child
Rest quietly in His Loving He will hold you tenderly as a mother holds her child He will hold you gently as a treasured possession You are a treasure to Him because you have come to Him
Rest quietly in His Love Let His Compassion and Mercy o`ershadow you; hold you Tell Him your troubles He will listen In the stillness; in the silence He listens to each and every heart He knows our every need Speak with Him Listen in the Silence as you rest in Him And He will surely speak Filling you - his child - with the richness of His Love
Do not be afraid Succumb to Him He will not let you fall Weep with Him as He surely weeps with you Have Faith - Have Trust Become a child again With child-like Faith; with child-like Trust
Come to Him His arms are ever open
