OH,
MAN!
If you
could but know to what you could aspire
Then
you would put away your toys of war
Your
weapons of destruction
Your
words of hate
And
open up your hearts to Love
To Peace
To Joy
Where
each man is a brother of the next
Openly
caring
Openly
sharing what wealth each has accumulated
Ah!
But is that a dream?
Only
a prayer - but what a prayer!
A great
prayer
Because
prayer is great
One
prayer, given in love, can move far more than words
One
prayer, given in faith, can do far more than man could ever do
alone
It is
my prayer
That
all knees be bent in prayer
Then,
how marvellous a world this would be
No cry
of hungry child
No sad
tear from the eye of homeless wanderer
No fearful
look upon the face of war-worn refugee
Ah!
What a dream!
Ah!
What a Prayer!
