Just being there with
someone in their moment of crisis
May be all that is needed
Having someone there
to sit by them awhile
To sit with them through
the pain
Just being there in
their `being`
It matters not if no
words are spoken
It is the being there
which matters
Tears can be words from
the sufferer
Silences even more so
And being by the sufferer's
side in Silence
Can say far more than
a word plucked from the air
A hand held out
A touch
A heart filled with
Love
All these are worth
much more than words
And meet the sufferer
in the depths of their suffering
Far more than a word
uttered in empathy ever could
Just being there, in
Love
Just being there, in
person
Being oneself!
Giving of oneself - giving completely of oneself
At that precise moment
- that very moment
When the light has gone
out
Is a Prayer
